Inspired by Arches National Park

Living in Utah has given me the opportunity to visit many of the national parks, including Arches. The 3.2-mile round-trip hike to Delicate Arch is one of the most memorable experiences in the park. Standing beneath a 52-foot freestanding sandstone arch shaped by millions of years of wind and water leaves an impression that stays with you long after the hike ends.

About the Artist

I live and work in the shadow of these landscapes. This ongoing series is my hand-drawn exploration of the iconic Southwest, created with a focus on contrast and detail that digital automation cannot replicate. As a local Utah artist who personally hikes to places like Arches National Park, my goal is to give these landmarks the quiet, modern space they deserve using fine, deliberate linework and subtle shading to define their form.
